Over the past 20 years, I have worked in virtually every aspect of the video world. With experience in producing, writing, editing, and animation, I have developed a unique skill set that allows me to take video projects from soup to nuts in an efficient and effective manner. Working as a social media publishing lead has also given me perspective on how to produce videos that simply work on the internet.
By day I work with Amazon Prime Video producing content for their Tik Tok account, and at night I work with [adult swim], Starburns Industries, and others to create mindbending, psychedelic animations.
In 2014, I took a job at BuzzFeed, working my way up to Manager of Shorter-Than-Short-Form Video. I was responsible for running a team of producers focused on Snapchat Discover and Facebook Live. This lead to an incredible opportunity to work with NBC as creative lead and publisher for the Rio Olympics, where I helped produce the official Snapchat Discover channel on the ground in Brazil.
In late 2016, I accepted a position at Gaia in order to pursue my goal of a more rural lifestyle in the mountains of Colorado. In less than 2 years, my team and I were able to increase our social following from 400k to over 3 million, while simultaneously increasing the efficiency of our paid media with a new approach to video ads. Oh- and I also got to travel to Peru to investigate an alien mummy 0_0
Before that, I worked in TV and commercials; producing, editing, and animating work for [adult swim], MTV, Vice, Time Warner Cable, Levis, Body Armor, and many others.
I have also had the pleasure to create videos with incredible musicians like Big Boi (Outkast), Giorgio Moroder, Neon Indian, Classixx, Twin Shadow, Bear In Heaven, and Chrome Canyon.
As an experimental video artist, I have received commissions from MOCA, The Museum of Sex, and the Bonnaroo Music Festival. I have performed and screened my work at venues all over the world, including the Museum of Moving Image, the Sydney Opera House, MoMA, LACMA, the Hirshhorn Museum, ICA (Philadelphia), Imagine Science Festival, Animafest Zagreb, Aurora Dallas, Coachella, and Lollapalooza. I’ve also been fortunate enough to have my work written about in The Huffington Post, Creator’s Project, Motionographer, Pitchfork, Vice, Complex, Billboard, and more.
In 2019, I moved to an off-grid Earthship outside Santa Fe. I am currently available for remote freelance projects, commissions, and short-term traveling work. In my spare time, I enjoy producing music, reading about the paranormal, watching videos about theme park history, and hanging with my baby boy Thaddeus.
